The process of ending a disagreement between two or more people in a constructive manner for all parties involved. Conflict resolution is designed in Schools to provide students with a neutral, safe, environment where they can express their point of view and discuss issues in a mutually satisfactory manner.04/06/15 2

Process Curriculum • An approach to conflict resolution education characterized by devoting a specific time to teaching the foundation abilities, principles, and one or more of the problem solving processes of conflict resolution as a separate course, distinct curriculum, or daily lesson plan. • This type of negotiation helps disputants envision scenarios and generate options for achieving results that satisfy both. 04/06/15 4

Mediation Program •A conflict resolution education program in which selected individuals (teachers and/or students) are trained in the principles and foundation abilities of conflict resolution and in the mediation process in order to provide neutral third-party facilitation to assist those in conflict to reach a resolution.04/06/15 5
- 6. Peaceable Classroom Approach The Peaceable Classroom approach integrates conflict resolution into the curriculum and daily management of the classroom.
