Copyright Friendly Images Webinar Hand out September 23rd , 2015 Overview This worksheet contains instruction steps and links to resources that were included in the TESL Ontario webinar “Sourcing Copyright Friendly Images”. Google Advanced Search steps: 1. Surf to https://www.google.com/ 2. In the search box, type trees 3. Click on the Search button 4. Select the option Images 5. Note the screen is filled with tree images 6. Click on the Options icon 7. Choose the option Advanced Search 8. Scroll down the screen until you can see the blue Advanced Search button 9. Click on the usage rights field 10. Select free to use or share 11. Click on the blue Advanced Search button 12. All of these images can be downloaded and used for your materials development purposes 13. Click on the first image in the top left corner 14. Please note that it is a good idea to note the source of the image, by publisher and web address 15. Creative Commons Search 1. Surf to https://search.creativecommons.org 2. In the search box, type trees 3. Check or uncheck, I want something that I can use for commercial purposes. 4. Check or uncheck, I want something that modify adapt or build upon. 5. Click on the Flickr image button 6. Note the screen is filled with tree images 7. Click on an image 8. Use the Collections link to locate images. Flickr -- The Commons https://www.flickr.com/commons It is the ambitious goal of this resource to archive all of the world’s photographs starting with photograph archive from institutions across the globe.
