Technical Writing in the Professions
-It is communication (in any field),
the primary aim of which is to
convey a particular piece of
information for a particular
purpose to a particular reader of
group of readers.
Components of the communication process
in technical writing
a. Communication Situation – the particular
context by which a need to tell something
arises;
b. Communicator – the provider of the
information (writer)
c. Medium – the consists of oral or written
modes communication
d. Information – the message will be imparted
to a particular audience; and
e. Receiver – the reader or listener of the
information.(reader)
