This study focuses on the design, analysis, and optimization of a six-cylinder engine crankshaft using finite element analysis (FEA) software, specifically Unigraphics NX7.5 and Ansys. The objectives include modeling the crankshaft, evaluating stress and deformation under static loading conditions, and comparing various materials to achieve weight reduction and cost optimization. Results indicate successful weight reduction of 1133g, improved strength, and a correlation of FEA results with theoretical predictions.
