- 3. Key Points A given data must be thoroughly studied, interpreted and then put down in the form of a report. Use of comparatives like greater than, less than ,more than, fewer than, shows an increasing trend, decreasing trend, etc. Brings out the finer aspects of the data.

It was observed that 40% girls spend their leisure time watching television, particularly movies and serials. As many as 25% girls showed their keenness to read books. Only 5% girls like playing outdoor games. In comparison 30% boys liked spending their time outdoors, 25% preferred watching sports programmes . Reading as a leisure activity was pursued by just 10 % of boys. Other activities like pursuing hobbies were performed by only 10 % of the boys. We can see a distinct preference in terms of what girls like doing and what the boys like.
