  • #4: Digital technology is a key enabler. ​ Significant reductions in operational energy use are possible through optimisation of building systems. ​ Developing long term retrofit plans on buildings today can help minimise the cost of the decarbonisation transition. Energy Use, Carbon, Cost​ Smart asset NZC investment plans can minimise the cost of the energy transition, taking advantage of trigger points such as: Lease and maintenance cycle; Planned refurbishments etc.
  • #6: Buildings are complex, constantly changing, dynamic systems​ Physical, meteorological, technological, and human components​ ​The IES Digital Twin, as it’s a performance digital Twin, understands all these factors​
  • #7: So just to elaborate on the previous slide and how the IES Digital Twin works, ​ Is that we use both Physics enabled simulation, based on fundamental physics principles, and Real time data, which can be taken from electrical, gas and water utility bills, metering data, IoT sensors and BMS data and so on. This along side AI and Machine learning enables data driven predictions, fills data gaps and checks for anomalies. ​ Resulting in a as we have discussed, a real world Building Performance Model, Digital Twin of your assets.​ ​ ​
