This document summarizes a study that analyzed antigen expression patterns in different subtypes of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) using flow cytometry. Bone marrow samples from 30 newly diagnosed MDS patients classified as refractory anemia (RA), refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts (RARS), or refractory anemia with excess blasts (RAEB) were analyzed for antigen expression on granulocytic, monocytic, erythroid and lymphoid lineages.
