This document discusses the design, simulation, and performance analysis of a steam turbine generator utilizing observer-based and linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controllers. The study highlights that the observer-based controller outperforms the LQR controller in terms of generating a desired voltage of 220 DC volts, showing less overshoot and shorter settling time. The efficiency of the open loop system is noted to be 76.92%, with the generator demonstrating significant performance improvements through the proposed control strategies.
