This document describes the design of a slotted waveguide antenna (SWA) for wireless applications. It discusses:
1) The design of a 10x10 pencil-shaped SWA operating at 3 GHz using WR-284 waveguide, with 10 elliptical slots separated by half the guide wavelength. Slot widths are set at 5mm based on proportionality.
2) Methods for determining slot displacements from the waveguide axis to achieve a desired side lobe level (SLL), including Taylor, Chebyshev, and binomial distributions.
3) Fabrication of a prototype SWA to test the design approach, consisting of 7 elliptical slots in a modified configuration to fit in a 50cm waveguide.
