Researchers primarily publish their work to communicate results to their peer community so that others can read and build upon their findings. While advancing their career and gaining prestige or funding are also motivations, researchers consider communicating their results as their top priority. However, there remains a disconnect between researchers and how easily they can search across institutional repositories to find relevant results. Improving integration tools and identifiers for researchers may help address this issue.
