4. What changes would you make to remediate the weakness of the

Choose two organizations with adjacent educational levels such as
elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, or high
school to higher education. For this project, you may use your work
setting or another educational setting with which you are familiar.
Conduct a detailed analysis of curriculum articulation and alignment
between the two curriculums.
Develop a 1,400- to 1,750-word plan from this analysis to improve
curriculum articulation and alignment between those two levels and to
improve student academic progression and the consistency of the
curriculum.
Include a summary of your original analysis.
Support your analysis with research. Include a minimum of five
references in the paper.
Divide the body of your paper into three distinct sections with their own
subheadings: Organizations Selected, Analysis of Curriculum

The key characteristics of research-based programs are common across
all fields, including education. In developing such programs, researchers
gather information about important questions; use objective methods
that involve reliable and valid observations and measurements; and meet
rigorous standards of peer review. Programs such as Read 180,
Advancement Via Individual Determination, Life Skills Training, Lions-
Quest Skills for Adolescence, and Project Adolescent Learning
Experiences in Resistance Training, provide instructional practices that

and programs to the field.
Select a research-based instructional program. You may choose one of
the programs listed above or identify another program you may be
familiar with.
Write a 1,750- to 2,100-word paper, examining the research-based
instructional program, and assessing its merits as they relate to learner
achievement. Discuss the following:
The determining factors for a learning institution surrounding the
adoption of a research-based program.
The desired outcomes and implications from the program for the
adopting institution.
The importance of research-based programs and using research in all
instructional decision making. How you, as the instructional leader,
develop your staff’s understanding of the importance of research in
instructional decision making.
Divide the body of your paper into distinct sections with their own
subheadings to detail each component of the assignment
