This document is a project report submitted by three students for their Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering. It describes the design and development of a fast working electronic circuit breaker. The circuit breaker uses an LM358 operational amplifier to compare the voltage drop across a sensing element to a preset reference voltage, and triggers a relay via a MOSFET to trip the load if the voltages do not match. The project aims to provide faster protection for sensitive loads compared to conventional thermal circuit breakers. It also includes chapters on the components used, circuit design, advantages over existing breakers, and conclusions from the work.
