 What is EMBEDDED SYSTEM
   An embedded system is a special-purpose
    computer system designed to perform one or
    a few dedicated functions, often with real-
    time computing constraints. It is usually
    embedded as part of a complete device
    including hardware and mechanical parts. In
    contrast, a general-purpose computer, such
    as a personal computer, can do many
    different tasks depending on programming.
    Embedded system control many of the
    common devices that we use today
   In the earliest years of computers in 1930 –
    40s, computers were sometimes dedicated to
    a single purpose task

    tremendous growth in the last one decade.
    Almost all the fast developing sectors like

    communications, and electronic payment
    solutions have witnessed increased use of
    embedded technologies.

   In recent years, vehicle thefts are increasing
    at an alarming rate around the world. People
    have started to use the theft control systems
    installed in their vehicles.
   Low cost vehicle theft control scheme using
    an inbuilt microcontroller.

    The AT89C51 is a low-power, high
    performance CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with
    4K bytes of flash programmable & erasable
    read only memory (PEROM).
   By combining a versatile 8-bit CPU with flash
    on a monolithic chip, the Atmel AT89C51 is a
    powerful microcomputer which provides a
    highly-flexible and cost effective solution to
    many embedded control applications.

   The LCD is connected to Port2 (P2.0 to P2.7)
    of the microcontroller. It is used to
    display.(either error or accepted).
    Variabmessagele resistor connected to Pin3
    of LCD, is used to control the brightness of
    LCD.
        A liquid crystal display is a low cost, low
    power device capable of displaying text and
    images.
