This document discusses emerging technologies in libraries and provides examples of how libraries are implementing these technologies. It covers audio/video, self-publishing, mobile services through lending tablets, crowdfunding campaigns libraries have used, wearables, the Internet of Things, security/privacy, and ways for libraries to keep up with new technologies through various publications, conferences, and online sources. Examples highlighted include the Queens Public Library tablet lending program and crowdfunding campaigns for a new version of the LibraryBox device and to bring a statue of the Hulk to a library.
