- 2. The grading scale on page 4 of your syllabus has an error! The total points should be 160. The 10 points for strat chats are in there 2 times (once in #1 and once in #3). Here is the revised scale. EDR 627 Revised Grading Scale
- 3. Your access to the Blackboard site will end in a few weeks. What will you want to download and keep from this course? 1. Be sure to look at your peer evaluations for the strat chat and your project. 2. View any projects that may be helpful to you for your own classroom. 3. Download any of the course materials you would like to save (readings, videos, padlets, etc.). 4. Make sure you have posted your Curious Classroom url, learning log (Google Doc Discussion posts) and reflective essay to Live Text by Wednesday, June 20.
- 4. Many of you mentioned the lack of training in technology. It is a problem in many districts. Here is an idea to think about for your building! A few years ago the College of Education started “Big Bytes”. These are short technology meetings (one hour) where faculty are invited to present anything they are using in technology that others may want to try. The meetings are held once a month on different days/times each month to accommodate schedules. Even if you cannot get to every session, going to any is so helpful! Topics that I have learned about at these include many of the technologies used in this course! Flipgrid,Vocaroo, Weebly, Padlet, etc. I look forward to the meetings because I am able to not only learn new technologies but see how they were used in the classroom. Could you set up a monthly computer sharing in your building?
