Headings and/or subheadings help reader navigate through content and revisit information easily. 1.2. Line justification, line spacing, and use of white space enhance readability. 1.3. Page numbers and smaller heading for secondary pages help readers to know where they are at in the document. 2. Arrangement: writer has applied one or more organizing strategies in the report body to control and arrange information cohesively for reader. 3. Audience and Purpose: writer has effectively achieved purpose and met the needs of the audience in the following areas: 3.1. Writer has focused on analyzing prior writing in the areas of prose style, arrangement, and noticeable error. 3.2. Analysis applies all prose style concepts and all causes but does not repeat these. 3.3. Prose style concepts are correctly defined. 3.4. Claims about weaknesses (or strengths) are supported with evidence from prior writing, Writer clearly identifies weaknesses using device emphases (highlight, strike-out, bolding, italics, etc.). Connection between claims and evidence is clear. 4. Mechanics: memo report is free of noticeable error.
