The Enneagram
What is the Enneagram?
 A wealth of information organised into a Framework
 Relatively easy to use
 The Enneagram is a System for better understanding
ourselves and others
 It is a method to more accurately identify your own
personal patterns
 A methodology to access ways to achieve our potential
faster
Why Am I Talking About This?
 Because if we can’t master ourselves we can’t master our
business.
 Because we hide our negative character traits from
ourselves through psychological defence mechanisms or
buffers
 With this knowledge we can see what changes we need to
make in our personal lives and business lives
 We might understand our relationships & customers better

Avoidances
Type 3 Dilemma
 Threes were the children who were prized for their
achievements.
 They remember coming home from school and being
asked about how well they had done, rather than how
they felt about their day.
 Performance and image were rewarded, rather
than emotional connections or a deep involvement in
other people’s lives.
 The idea was to work hard for recognition, to take on
leadership roles, and to win.
 Important to avoid failure, because only winners were
worthy of love.
The Enneagram of Fixations
Type 3: Further Dilemma
 If they have a Type 2 Wing
 If a Type 3 has a Type 2 Wing, they will be unable to
say NO to more work
 They will tend to forget to raise prices and forget how
good they are at what they do.
The Enneagram of Idealizations
Type Three: Preoccupations
 Love comes from what you achieve, rather than for
who you are.
 Selective attention to whatever is positive.
 Tuning out of negatives.
 Emotions are suspended while the job gets done.

appropriate to one’s role or job.

2. We find out the Flavour!!
3. We look at the STRESS POINT -Disintegration
