- 2. § Wikipedia is the largest collection of free, collaborative knowledge in human history.1 Wikipedia's purpose is to benefit readers by acting as an encyclopedia, a comprehensive written compendium that contains information on all branches of knowledge within its five pillars. Wikipedia has a lofty goal: a comprehensive collection of all of the knowledge in the world2. § The purpose of enterprise wiki(s) is to benefit enterprise readers, sponsors, and/or partners by securely building information collaboratively to further sponsor missions.
