- 1. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
- 2. Blogger Blogger was one of the websites that i used to project all of the work that i did on constructing this product. Using Blogger i learnt how to present my work electronically and receive feedback on it so that i could improve it. I used and improved my ICT skills when on Blogger and also gained a lot of presentational skills. There were some downfalls to using Blogger as i needed internet connection and i didn’t always have it.
- 3. Flickr I used flickr when annotating my research and my own products as it was the best way of presenting them in a tidy way. When i used flickr i learned that it was easy to tag photos with notes and have a clear picture of what i had uploaded. I discovered that when i needed to transfer the work onto my blog i could embed the picture and with a link onto my blog so that people could view it and click on it to see the annotations.
- 4. Camera I took the pictures for my magazine on a Samsung digital camera which i have used before, however this time i learnt that using lighting it can make the pictures look better quality and of a higher standard. I think that during the process of taking pictures the zoom wasn’t necessary however had a 10 times optical zoom and was good to test out. The camera was a 16 mega pixel one and so it took very high quality photos for my magazines. This was before i used Photoshop to edit the colouring and features.
- 5. Photoshop I had previously used photoshop for other work to edit photos this gave me an advantage. Although using it to create magazine layouts, this taught me about all of the structure that this software in order to piece all of the conventions together in order to create a good well set out magazine. I also learnt how to edit the images so that they were better quality when i put it onto my magazine. I have now developed my skills in this department and it helped me make a good product.
- 6. Prezi I have learnt that Prezi is a brilliant and innovative way to present information. When i was shown Prezi, i had not seen it before and therefore had to learn how to use it. I have improved my ICT skills further and built a knowledge of how to use Prezi to reflect information in a way that will strike attention and keep people intrigued when looking at my work.
- 7. Slideshare When using Slideshare i had to create a Powerpoint document first and then upload it to the website Slideshare. When i wanted it on my blog, it was easy to get the code in order to embed it onto one of the pages so that people could view it easily. I learnt through the process that i could present information that is on a Powerpoint on the internet which people could view and read in order to see my evaluation on this construction of my product.
