- 2. Overview My name is Eva Jurate Strickland. I started school in 1990 in Seattle, WA I graduated from high school in 2003 in Seattle I first went to college at the University of Illinois in the Fall of 2003 and graduated in 2007. When I finish my Masters degree…..actually trying to figure that out now!
- 3. My definition of educational technology Is making use of the resources available in order to enhance the overall learning environment and preparing students for a new type of learning as the future progresses.

- 5. Kindergarten technology I think I remember having access to really old Mac computers that had DOS.
- 6. High school technology Overhead Projector TI-86 Email ELMO I attended a private high school so we always had the newest gadgets including even an ELMOs.
- 7. College technology LAPTOPS Smart Boards Online Classes Going to college afforded me many opportunities to experience new technology like the ones to the left As a business major I used Excel and Power point extensively with presentations and my Econ stats classes
- 8. A vivid technology learning experience A unique experience I had was this past Spring semester when I enrolled in an online class exclusively through Laulima. I had taken online classes before but what was different about this class was that it was completely interactive between teacher and student. On my monitor I could listen to my professor while she clicked through a power point presentation. We also were put into chat rooms to discuss topics in the class.
- 9. A technology I want to use in my classroom Smartboards I am looking forward to getting a Smart Board in my classroom this next year. I hope to get my students more involved with online projects as well.
- 10. My vision of the classroom of the future I would like to see education flourish into a real technologically smart classroom. I think everything could and would be done electronically like kids being able to write on tablet PCs as their notebooks. That would be awesome!!!
- 11. A challenge for teaching I think the two main challenges of teaching with technology are having to face computer illiteracy as well as battling traditional teaching models. Many people are inept when it comes to new technology so training capable individuals is key to having overall success with technology in the classroom.
