This study investigates the effectiveness of digital storytelling (DS) as a method for enhancing second language narrative writing among Korean college freshmen. It compares two modes of narrative practice: in-class storytelling (IS) and digital storytelling (DS), analyzing their impact on narrative voice, engagement, and linguistic features. Results indicate that while there were no significant differences in overall writing scores, DS enhanced emotional expression and audience engagement, though it produced shorter narratives with some weak story elements.
