- 3. Introduction • The project is all about making use of computers for the admission of the students rather than doing it manually. • This system provides the way to get admission easily and efficiently. 3
- 4. Objectives • The aim of the proposed system is to address the limitations of the current system. • To develop a web application. • To create online form submitting system. • To store the information of the students and manage them. 4

Problem Statement • Following are some common problems with manual system. • There is no proper record for student's details of admission. • Time consuming • All information is not placed in centralized system. • Lots of paper work. • Slow data processing. • Not user friendly environment. • Difficult to find records due to file management system. 5
- 6. Problem Solution • The Online Admission System enables the student to fill application forms online and submit it. • Students can also upload their necessary document. • If admission is approved, an email will be sent to the Student’s email ID. • The students can further view their results. 6

Benefits of proposed system • Here are some of the key benefits of online admission systems: • One of the most significant benefits of an online admission system is convenience.(i.e. anywhere anytime) • Online admission systems reduce the risk of errors and ensure that all the required information is captured accurately. • Online admission systems offer data security, protecting sensitive information from being accessed by unauthorized individuals. 7

- 9. Modules of the project • In proposed system, there are two main modules that are • Administrator • User(student) • 8.1. Administrator • The administrator maintains the admission open/close, set up seats, criteria, verify the forms and generate merit lists. • 8.2. User(student) • The user fill form, upload necessary documents, participate in the entrance and according to the entrance result they get registered. 9

Software Methodology • I will use Incremental Methodology to develop the proposed application. • I have already done planning for the project by choosing the proposed project and its domain. • I will analyze the requirements and then start developing the application. The application will be developed in different iterations. • After developing the application, I will do the testing of the application, after each iteration. 11
