This document presents a master's thesis focused on the development of a road-marking recognition system that utilizes street-level panoramic images for automated map generation. The proposed pipeline includes individual image processing for marking recognition followed by a multi-view positioning phase, achieving high detection rates for various types of road markings, including pedestrian crossings and traffic lines. The system aims to improve traffic safety and reduce the need for manual inspections by creating comprehensive databases of road-marking locations and characteristics.
