- 1. Director of Technology: Manages technology personnel. Oversees the purchasing, installation and maintenance of all hardware and software, as well as peripheral equipment. Supervises the planning and administration of the technology budget. Conducts monthly technology meetings, briefs the board and superintendent on all technology matters. Organizes technology professional development.Instructional Technology Specialist: Review s campus and teacher websites. Conducts software application training as needed. Troubleshoots technology issues for campuses. Installs software. Instructional Technology Technicians: Installs and repairs hardware. Installs and troubleshoots software applications. Technology HelpDesk: Troubleshoots equipment and software failure. Provides access and manage user id’s and passwords for personnel. Processes all technology requests and routes to appropriate personnel.Campus Administration: Provides support to technology liaison. Previews all requests for software or hardware purchases. Ensures the proper training and use of technology by all staff members. Campus Liaison: Provides support to classroom teachers. Troubleshoots hardware and software failures on assigned campus. Conducts professional development for campus personnel. Campus Personnel: Implements the use of technology for instructional purposes. Utilizes district software for the recording of grades and attendance. Maintains personal webpage through district website.The Principal delegates the responsibilities of maintaining and updating the campus webpage to the appropriate personnel. She also provides the campus technology liaison with an extra planning period so that she can fulfill her assigned duties. The Principal also ensures that all personnel are trained on all required district equipment and software, and monitors their use. She collects data from teachers and other personnel at faculty meetings and through surveys to determine the needs and current usage of available technology. She uses this data to make decisions about purchasing new software and/or hardware.
