LIFESPAN & ENERGY CONSUMPTION
TOPIC LED FLUORESCENT
LIFESPAN lasts upwards of 60,000
hours before needing to
be replaced.
Can last around 10,000
hours before needing to be
replaced. You would have
to replace the average FL 6
times to equal the lifespan
of one LED light.
ENERGY
CONSUMPTION
LED light use about half
the wattage of
fluorescent light, about 6
watts of power versus 14
watts of power for a FL
light. LED lifespan, about
340 kilowatt hours of
CFL used over 60,000
hours (6 bulbs) will use
around 840 kilowatt hours
of electricity, according to
the Product different light
energy specifications.

PERFORMANCE & EFFICIENCY
TOPIC LED FLUORESCENT
CYCLING
(TURNING
ON/OFF)
LEDs are an ideal light for
purposely turning on and
off because they respond
rather instantaneously
(there is no warm up or
cool down period). They
produce steady light
without flicker.
Fluorescent lights exhibit a
short delay when turning
on. Older fluorescent
models actually required a
significant warm-up period
before the tube would light
but this has been
significantly improved with
newer, rapid-start
fluorescent lights. Possible
failures or delays in the
start-up process are
typically due to faulty
PERFORMANCE & EFFICIENCY
TOPIC LED FLUORESCENT
EFFICIENCY LEDs are very efficient
relative to every lighting
type on the market.
Typical source efficiency
ranges 37 and 120
lumens/watt. Where LEDs
really shine, however, is
in their system efficiency
(the amount of light that
actually reaches the
target area after all losses
are accounted for). Most
values for LED system
Fluorescent and CFL lights
are very efficient compared
to incandescent lights (50-
100 lumens/watt source
efficiency). They lose out to
LEDs principally because
their system efficiency is
much lower (<30
lumens/watt) due to all of
the losses associated with
omnidirectional light
output and the need to
redirect it to a desired

COST & WARRANTY
TOPIC LED FLUORESCENT
LIFETIME COST LED light has relatively
high initial costs and low
lifetime costs.
Fluorescent light are
relatively cheap to
purchase but relatively
expensive to maintain.
MAINTENANCE
COST
LED has virtually zero
maintenance costs and
the frequency with which
light have to be changed
out is by far the best on
the market.
Fluorescent require regular
re-lamping and ballast
replacement in addition to
the labour cost to monitor
and replace aging or
expired components.

RECOMMENDATION
Change all the light to LED tubes type in every 8 to 10 years.
Make a check scheduled for maintenance about 1 time every
3 month to make sure the lighting quality always in a good
condition
CONCLUSION
• Can reduce by 75% of current usages.
• LED light tubes maybe expensive but it doesn’t use ballast and
choke that can make the cost more expensive.
• fluorescent light is not good because it has mercury inside the
tubes that has radiation on it compared to LED light that have a
stable heavy metal.
CONCLUSION
• LED light also very good for our earth and environment
because it does not have UV radiation that can make our earth
save.
• LED light Has longer warranty compared to Fluorescent light.
• LED light can be use for 60000 hours or more and also has a
lower rate of power with 340 kilowatt hour of electricity use it.
