Colour scheme ideas-

White- The base colour
Red,Silver/Grey,black- Used for
masthead, sell lines & skyline
Grey-The base colour
Red,Yellow,black- Used for
masthead, sell lines & skyline
White- The base colour
Red,Blue,black- Used for masthead,
sell lines & skyline
All of these colour palettes follow a convention in the alternative music magazine
genre; They all have a dominant main colour which will help sell lines, or plugs
stand out on the front cover. The colour pallet I use will be used on the contents
and double page spread as well as the cover.
FontsI decided to call my magazine UTM, ‘Under the music’. Using
Dafont.com I’ve downloaded different fonts which I like and hope
to use for either the masthead or the sell lines. Here are the fonts I
picked out:
Final decisionsI have now decided on a colour scheme and font for
the masthead, these show my final decisions:

Grey-The base colour
Red,Yellow,black- Used for
masthead, sell lines & skyline
The font and colour scheme both link
in well with the conventions of an
alternative music magazine, I also think
that these colours work well together
and will help make sell lines and the
skyline stand out to the audience.
