This research investigates the formulation of gastroretentive floating tablets of carvedilol phosphate using a 3^2 factorial design. The study evaluates the influence of different concentrations of HPMC K100M and sodium bicarbonate on drug release parameters, identifying the optimal formulation with prolonged drug release. The final formulation, found to adhere to pharmacopoeial limits, demonstrates similar release characteristics to the marketed product, enhancing the oral bioavailability of carvedilol phosphate.
