Prerequisites for GATE Registration • Valid email id, phone number and address • Image of scanned photograph in jpeg • Image Size Specialization – Minimum 240*320 pixel, Maximum 480*640 pixel • Image of scanned signature in jpeg • Signature Size Specification Minimum size 80*280, Maximum size 160*560 • Mark-sheets and Degree Certificates. • Scanned copy of Eligibility Certificate in pdf format (Degree/Provisional Certificate or Certificate from HOD) • Scanned copy of Category Certificate, Dyslexic Certificate, PwD Certificate in pdf format, if applicable • Personal Details • Credit/Debit Card details
- 4. How To Apply for GATE 2019 ? • GATE Registration: Visit http://appsgate.iitm.ac.in/. Register as “New User” fill all details create your password. After successful registration, you will get access to GOAPS with the credentials you entered. • Fill GATE Application Form: Login using GOAPS Enrollment ID and GOAPS Password and start filling GATE application form. • Upload the Documents: Upload Image, Signature, Eligibility Certificate, SC/ST Certificate and PwD Certificate as per the specifications and requirement. • Payment of Fee: Fee payment can be done through credit card, debit card or net banking. - 6. Step 2 – Fill Application Form Fill all detail asked in Application form: Exam Details • Choose GATE 2018 Paper you wish to appear. • Now, select Examination Country and subsequently enter 3 exam centers.
- 7. Enter the following details correctly: Personal Details • Firstly, Verify Email Address and Mobile Number. On clicking Verify Button, an OTP is sent to the registered email id and mobile number. • Date of Birth • Gender • Nationality • Category • Person with Disability Status • Dyslexia Status • Country of Permanent Residence • State/Union Territory • Enter ID Proof Number • Name of Parent/Guardian (stick to the specifications) Step 2 – Fill Application Form

Step 3 – Upload the Documents Specification of the Documents to be uploaded Photo: • Recent passport size color picture with white background • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted • Minimum Dimensions 240 * 320 pixels • Maximum Dimensions 480 * 640 pixels • Image should be in JPEG format Signature • Sign on white paper with black ink pen • Minimum Dimensions 80 * 280 pixels • Maximum Dimensions 160 * 560 pixels • Signature Image should be in JPEG format

Any one of the following messages will be displayed on the user’s window: • Received – Application form is successfully submitted • Under Scrutiny – GATE Application is under check • Accepted –No correction required, form is accepted • Defect Status – Marked defects to be rectified in the application form • Status after Rectification – Status of the form after making changes • Rejected with Valid Reasons – Application form which is not rectified within stipulated time frame
