variations from one person to another on
variables such as self-esteem, rate of cognitive
development or degree of agreeableness.
Historically, psychological science has

focusing on average behavior.

Intelliegnece quotient(IQ)
Terman was the first to suggest the term intelliegence
quotient.
Intelligence quotient is the ratio between Mental Age(MA)
and chronological Age(CA) and Multiplied by 100.

GIFTED LEARNER
Calculation of IQ
Amala paul and vijay both score an mentalAge(MA) of 5 years on an intelligence test.but
amala Paul is only 4 years old, and vijay is 5 year old. Find the IQ? Who is brighter,
Amala Paul or Vijay
Measuring Intelligence
• IQ- Intelligence Quotient. This is usually
expressed as a standard score with a
mean of 100 ± 15 (85-115).
