The document describes a GIS-based integrated planning and monitoring system for PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions) in West Bengal. The system uses a web MIS, mobile apps, and web GIS to help PRIs better plan, monitor projects, and ensure transparency. Data on plans, projects, meetings, and indicators are captured and analyzed. GPS-enabled mobile devices are used to geo-tag activities and spatial data is analyzed on GIS maps. The system aims to strengthen PRI functioning and oversight through real-time monitoring from the district to project level. It has been implemented in 1000 PRIs and will be expanded statewide.
