             1. Cultivate students to their literacy abilities instead of training them to do the
                mechanical drills all the time.
             2. Train students’ abilities to get the main idea of the story and enhance their
                reading skills and abilities.
             3. Guide students to do critical thinking, understand the denotation and connotation
                in the literary work.
             4. Help students to guess and comprehend the unfamiliar words from the context
Objectives
                and the pictures shown on the slides.
             5. Enhance students’ listening abilities by listening to the teaching speaking English
                in class almost all the time.
             6. Encourage students to try to be unselfish and more thankful for their parents
                and tell the difference between altruism and egoism.
             7. Apply the linguistic pattern “Have you ever p.p. for your family?” in the oral
                activity.

       our parents and the little boy to children.

        Review the story and relate it to our daily
       life.
        Discuss the ideas about giving and taking.             Internet              3 mins
        Show the videos “The giving tree” and “The
       taking boy” on Youtube

 p.s. Q&A activity, Story sequencing, and Oral activity
      are practical if the time is longer enough.
