Advantage of hosting African Citation Index on WOK To increase visibility of African research output • Web of Knowledge(WoK) is the premier global research platform for the area of Sciences, Social Sciences, and Arts & Humanities with over 7000 customer worldwide. • Showcasing the African Citation Index in WoK platform will extend the visibility of African Citation Index to international research communities. To improve quality of African research • Associating African Citation Index with WoK, African researchers who want their papers to be shown in African Citation Index have to ensure they meet minimum standards defined by the local partners. • This can motivate African researchers to enhance their research output quality and such process can help to upgrade overall African research quality in the future. 22
