PART 5
UNDERSTANDING the
FEAST OF TABERNACLES
Lev 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In
the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall
ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of
trumpets, an holy convocation.
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there
shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls,
and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 28
And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a
day of atonement, to make an atonement for you
before the Lord your God.
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The
fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast
of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.
Deut 16:13 Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles
seven days, . . .
14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son,
and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the
fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
15 b . . . because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all
thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands,
therefore thou shalt surely rejoice

Trumpets is a time to break out of old and press into
the new
Let go of old forms of security
“Lord, let me find my security in YOU.”
Break out of old habits
“Lord, let me be willing to change.”
Repent of old ways of thinking
“Lord let me SHIFT from old to new.”
God says the sound of the shofar is designed to
activate something in your spirit. Ask Him to shift
you as the trumpet sounds.

FEAST of TABERNACLES
Celebrating God’s GLORY
EXO 40:33-35
Moses set up the TABERNACLE. . .
Then the GLORY of the LORD filled the
tabernacle. Moses could not enter . . . Because
the cloud had settled upon it, and the GLORY of
the LORD filled the tabernacle.

The DAYS OF AWE
A time to seek Him and be sure there are no
hindrances to your walk with Him
The DAY OF ATONEMENT
A time to repent and confess of anything that would
hinder, and claim our forgiveness through the blood
of Jesus.
PREVENTS “SPIRITUAL DRIFT”
Some don’t rebel . . . They just drift away!
Gradually accumulate things that cut off fellowship .
FEAST of TABERNACLES
FINALLY WE COME TO . . .
THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES
A time to come BOLDLY into His Prescence,
Knowing every hindrance is removed!
A time to Experience God’s Glory as you
fellowship with Him.
What is the FEAST OF
TABERNACLES
Lev 23:34-43
‘On the 15th day of the 7th month, the LORD’s FEAST OF
TABERNACLES begins, and it lasts for 7 days . . . Hold a
sacred assembly and present an offering to the LORD . . .
Take choice fruit from the trees, a palm fronds, leafy
branches and poplars, and rejoice before the LORD . . .
This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to
come.
What is the FEAST OF
TABERNACLESThe Purpose of collecting all the branches . . .
Build ‘BOOTHS’ (Sukkahs – temporary shelters)
“Live in sukkahs for seven days . . . So your
descendants will know that I had Israelites live in
SUKKAHS when I brought them out of Egypt”
What is the FEAST OF
TABERNACLESIn the wilderness God’s people came out of Egypt and dwelt in
temporary shelters, and God’s GLORY came down and dwelt
with them.
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
1. The Tabernacle of Moses
Exo 40:33-35 – Moses set up the tabernacle . . .
“GLORY of the LORD filled the tabernacle”
As God’s GLORY dwelt with them . . .
• Perfect provision (manna from heaven, shoes,
did not wear out, God DAILY met every need.)
• Complete protection, (enemies defeated)
• Total health (not one weak, sick or infirm.)
God’s GLORY brings God’s BLESSING!
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
2. The Tabernacle of DAVID
David set up tent for the ARK . . . And
surrounded it with praise . . . And God’s GLORY
came down!
Psalm 63:2 “I have seen you in the sanctuary and
beheld your power and GLORY!”
Blessings was poured out . . . enjoyed
incredible prosperity and victory over
every enemy.
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
3. The Tabernacle of JESUS
John 1:14 – “And the WORD became flesh and
TABERNACLED among us, and we beheld His
GLORY
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
4. The ETERNAL TABERNACLE
Rev. 21:3-4 – “Now the TABERNACLE of God is
with men, and He will live with them.
RESULT: Continual Blessings! “… He will wipe
every tear from their eyes. There will be no more
death or mourning or crying or pain!”
Isaiah 4:5 - Over everything, the GLORY will be a
TABERNACLE
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
5. God’s PEOPLE is God’s Tabernacle
Acts 15:16-17 After this I will return, and will build
again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down;
and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set
it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the
Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is
called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE EXPERIENCE
REVIVAL . . .
The GLORY OF GOD comes down . . .
And the Result is BLESSING!
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
So “Tabernacles” celebrates . .
THE GLORY OF GOD
Dwelling with His People
WHAT IS GOD’S GLORY?
“GLORY” is the Tangible Manifestation of God’s
Presence!
As a shining cloud (In the temple).
In thunder and fire at Sinai.
By a sense of His Presence.
By miracles and acts of power.
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
The Feast of Tabernacles is a
Celebration of God’s Glory!
It’s a time to remember past experiences
of His Glory
It’s a time to seek His face, and experience
His Glory NOW as we tabernacle with
Him!
It’s a time to call out to God for a fresh
outpouring of His Glory in the new year!
THE TABERNACLES OF GOD
One week in a year, God asked His
people to leave behind their normal
schedule of activities and
TABERNACLE with Him!
God promised a Special Blessing for
those who would do this . . .
“If you will treat this week as special, I
will meet with you!”
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
1. Time to REMEMBER!
God Tabernacled with His People!
. . . IN THE WILDERNESS
. . . IN JESUS
. . . IN YOUR LIFE
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
2. Time to ENJOY!
The FUN of Celebration with GOD!
Lev 23:4 – “REJOICE before the LORD
your God for seven days.”
Deut 16:14-15 – “be JOYFUL at your
FEAST . . . For the LORD your God will
bless you . . .
And your JOY will be complete
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
3. Prepare an OFFERING!
An Expression of Thanks to GOD!
Deut 16:16-17 – “No man should appear
before the LORD empty-handed: Each of
you must bring a gift in proportion to the
way the LORD your God has blessed you.”
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
4. Time to ANTICIPATE
Call out to God for His Glory to come and
Tabernacle with us again.
Jn 7:37-38 “on the last day of the feast,
Jesus said in a loud voice, “If anyone is
thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
Whoever believes in me, streams of living
water will flow from his innermost being.”
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
4. Time to ANTICIPATE
Set aside time to Tabernacle with God
Find times to meet with Him.
Spend relaxed Times in His Word.
Get together with family and friends.
Share Testimonies of His Goodness!
Eat your favorite foods.
Thank Him for His Blessings
And particularly if you have children . . .
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
Build a
Sukkah
Neh 8:15-17“Go out into the hills and
bring back branches from
olive and wild olive trees,
from myrtles, palms and
shade trees, to make
sukkahs.” So the people
went out and brought back
branches and built sukkahs
on their roofs and in their
courtyards. . . The whole
company built sukkahs . . .
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
REMEMBER
God TABERNACLES with His People!
ENJOY!
The FUN of Celebration with God
ANTICIPATE!
Call out to God for His Glory to Come
and Tabernacle with us again
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
More than any other feast, this is a
feast for CHRISTIANS!
A Feast for GENTILES!
Zech 14:16-19 - The time will come when
people “from among the gentiles” . . . Will
worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and
celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
So if you are a GENTILE who has
come to know the Lord . . . THIS
FEAST IS FOR YOU!
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
There is a 2nd Reason Why
Tabernacles is important for
Christians . . .
To explain it, we need to go to answer the
question . . .
“WHEN WAS JESUS BORN?”
Not Dec 25! Shepherds don’t keep flock in fields
in late December!
Some say . . . We can’t know. But perhaps . . .
Luke 1:5 Zechariah, father of John the Baptist,
was a priest of the order of AVIYAH

BEHELD HIS GLORY.
SHEDS NEW LIGHT ON THE CHRISTMAS STORY!
Luke 2 – Mary brought for her child and “Laid him in a
MANGER”
Greek word for manger: PHATNE
“manger, stall, stable, temporary shelter”
Hebrew equivalent of phatne: SUKKAH (Tabernacle)
Gen. 33:17 – Jacob made sukkahs for his cattle.
During Feast: no rooms at inn . . . But sukkahs everywhere!
Luke 2:7: “And she brought forth her firstborn Son,
and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid

On that FEAST OF TABERNACLES . . .
The GLORY of GOD came into that Sukkah
and YAHSHUA HA MESSIAH was born!
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
Jesus Gave a Promise at Tabernacles
Jn 7:37-38: On the last day of the feast, Jesus said
in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to
me and drink.
Whoever believes in me, streams of living water will
flow from his innermost being!”
UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
Key Element of Tabernacles:
OUTPOURING!
HIGH POINT of entire cycle of Appointed Times.
Every Year at Tabernacles . . .
The High Priest performed Prophetic Act.
The Priest brought water from the pool of Siloam
and carried it up the temple to pour it out!
An Appeal for latter rain! (natural)
An appeal for Outpouring of the Spirit (Spiritual
Rain)
“I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Sons and Daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams, young men will see visions.”
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
John 7:37-39
“On the last day, the great day of the feast . .
. “
The priest again brought water from pool of
Siloam and carried it up the temple to pour it
out beside the altar.
Jesus stood and cried out saying, “If any man
is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!”
“He who believes in Me . . . From his
innermost being shall flow RIVERS of LIVING
WATER!”
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
That’s why God set APPOINTED TIMES
. . . to release His LIFE to US.
• He wanted to remind us of His great deeds in the
past to build our FAITH.
• He wanted to remind us of promises for the
future to give us VISION!
• He desired to do spiritual transactions in us to
break Satan’s power over us.
• He wanted to link us into His cycle of “ever
increasing” blessing!
TO DO THAT . . . HE NEEDED TO ALIGN OUR
LIVES WITH HIS RHYTHM!
CELEBRATING TABERNACLES
It is not a SIN to miss your APPOINTED TIMES!
It’s not a legalistic thing! But God’s times do enable
our lives to RESONATE with His timing
They cause us to be in sync with God’s rhythm!
They help us be at the right time and right place!
They help us not to miss windows of opportunity!
They allow God to bring us to a new level!
As you meet with God in His Appointed Times, you
begin to experience the
ISSACHAR ANNOINTING
