Google Reader is a web application that allows users to monitor updates from various blogs and news feeds. It saves time by providing all updates in one place rather than visiting each website individually. It works with existing Google accounts and allows users to easily add and remove subscriptions. Users can share, organize, and keep track of posts they have read or want to revisit later. The application can be accessed from desktop and mobile devices.

- 3. • It is a quick, easy way to access the latest information on various topics. • It saves time because you don’t have to go to each website individually • You’ll keep current with what leaders are saying in your field of interest Why Use Google Reader?
- 4. • Yes! It should work with your existing Google account or your new Google Apps account. Will Reader work with Google Apps?
- 5. SO….HOW DOES IT WORK? It’s so simple!
- 6. I don’t have a Google ID! Get one at : reader.google.com Sign in with your Google ID
- 7. Add a subscription….. Search for specific terms OR Paste a feed URL What’s next?
- 8. • Bold face items have new posts Find stuff to read
- 9. Highlighted new posts are “front & center”
- 10. Share, email, keep unread, & tag posts
- 11. • Revisit items you’ve starred • Analyze your own usage trends • Explore recommendations Explore & Analyze
- 12. Recently kept and read items are highlighted on the left pane Recent Items
- 13. Click on the cogwheel to access the Reader settings Adjust Your Settings

- 15. Drag the yellow “Subscribe” button to your browser toolbar to easily add new subscriptions as you surf
