Greenhouse Monitoring and
Control System Using IOT
INTRODUCTION:
A green house is where plants such as flowers and vegetables
are grown. Greenhouses warmup during the day when sun-
rays penetrates through it, which heats the plant,soil and
structure. Green houses help to protect crops from many
diseases, particularly those that are soil borne and splash onto
plants in the rain.
 This project demonstrates the design and implementation of a
various sensors for greenhouse environment monitoring and
controlling.

Working Principle
 A greenhouse system in which there are four sensors.
 These sensors act as input to the micro controller system.
 The input feed provided to the micro controller is in the form of
analog data.
 This data is converted by the controller into digital format.
 The data is shown on the LCD display and also on the android
phone via Bluetooth.

 Thus the monitoring of temperature, moisture and other
parameters is done automatically.
 Once the parameter values are monitored they can be
controlled by the embedded system which is built with coding.
This is automating controlling system. The android phone is
operated by the user. The android application is used for
controlling as per the user knowledge and required output.

This greenhouse control system is powered by Atmega328
microcontroller it consists of temperature sensor, light sensor,
soil moisture sensor, LDR sensor, LCD display module, 12v DC
fan, Bulb and pump. Temperature sensor, senses the level of
temperature., if it goes high DC fans gets on and when the
temperature goes low the fan gets off. Soil moisture sensor,
senses the water level as the level decreases the pumps gets
on. In the absence of light, the LDR sensor senses and the
bulb starts glowing. By this way it will become easy to monitor
and control the system.
Applications
A versatile wireless sensor system can help you monitor and
control many parameters of greenhouse conditions and
environments. You can measure critical conditions such as
Temperature,
humidity,
light,
air quality, soil moisture, irrigation water leaks, fan failure,
HVAC system performance, and more.
Advantages
One of the primary benefits of IoT-driven greenhouse
monitoring is the ability to collect real-time data on crucial
environmental parameters.
 Sensors can be deployed throughout the greenhouse to
measure variables such as temperature, humidity, light levels,
soil moisture, and CO2 concentration.
