Abstract: In remote area we know that Power crisis and load shedding is the major problem. Because of this
Power crisis we did not reach to our maximum potential we lost the process efficiency and productivity of our
organization is also drop. To overcome from this type of problems we have many equipment to get backup to
save our industrial projects and domestic work. We called This type of device UPS (Uninterruptable power
supply) We have to monitor the UPS continuously and this is very difficult and when manual error occurs this
leads to UPS fail. These leads to losses of productivity. human error like if engineer is not available to get the
readings of UPS this fail can occurs. Today in every scale of industrial sections as well as business area it has
use of the UPS system has increased in day by day life the main purpose of this system it is to control as well as
Monitor the UPS system batteries with remotely using the various sensors like ZMPT101B AC voltage sensors
and VCC25 DC voltage sensors microcontroller GSM module and current sensor so UPS modelling and control
system it is a very important for day to day life it is used like in IT sectors and also medical sector. Our project
is the idea which is very useful for electronic equipment system which runs on battery based power supply by
adapting this system the users can monitor and also control the UPS system in this microcontroller will
continuously monitoring the voltage and in case voltage is dropped below the set value then this system is alerts
the provider provided to the user through GSM in form of SMS this is the it is helps to increase the efficiency of
UPS with provide the remote monitoring feature. The system is particularly describes the ups battery monitoring
system will be performed by cloud computing.
Keywords: SMS, GSM, UPS Battery monitoring data, continuously monitoring the voltage, cloud computing,
increasing efficiency.
I. INTRODUCTION
UPS is a mainly uninterruptable power supply used to keep your system running or devices operated when there
is an outage or power crisis. It provides backup power, which depends on their backup time. If any case of a
Power Crisis, UPS is a device that maintains power very effectively. GSM-based UPS system it is an essential
way for banking up supply. It is an important system. With the help of the UPS system, the loss of data will be
prevented by using this system. Today every scale of business has increased the use of UPS day by day. The ups
system is generally used to provide a power backup supply to heavy devices, including main devices. It includes
some sensors for temperature also high in routers. This system is useful to calculate important calculations such
as battery charging, its temperature and the discharge time of the battery. in this UPS battery, the monitoring
system will be performed by cloud computing. When there is a power failure, the efficiency of the process
organization in the way the production of the organization will decrease and leads to losses. Monitoring UPS
continuously and manually is not easy to handle. To overcome this situation, we introduce our system. we can
make quick decisions and actions according to the information gained from monitoring. If any kind of problem
occurs in UPS, it will notify via SMS; it will not only help in identifying faults but also determine the condition

of UPS. The system will provide a power source in case of main power failures or any type of disturbances.
They also regulate the incoming voltage to the system so that constant supply to the system is maintained and
the hardware of the system will not be damaged by power failure or power spikes when there is a power failure.
II. LITERATURE REVIEW
This Section describes the previous works on the Controlling and monitoring of UPS Battery with the help of
GSM based on different technologies designed by other researchers around the world. These papers will have
helped to understanding the which techniques will be used in system and gain the basics about the topic.

The paper mainly focuses on presenting an economical and elementary approach to design an intelligent UPS
monitoring and controlling system, adopting the concept of mobile to machine and machine to mobile
communication is one of the most effective wireless communications.

In this paper introduce the structure and operational status of UPS battery remote monitoring system, analyzed
UPS battery monitoring data and UPS battery computational features.

It describes the design about monitoring UPS system with the help of IOT. the hardware is made in such a way
that the information about the continuously provide the supply to the system and UPS will be sent to the user via
SMS using the WIFI module (ESP8266).

This paper it is designed a monitoring system of ups battery with the help of MQTT protocol this system it is
used MQTT which is act as a communication protocol. The network used MQTT as a communication protocol
that was designed for a lightweight communication. the system was intended to display UPS monitoring data in
true time on a webpage on raspberry pi which functions as a web server, MQTT broker, MQTT subscriber and
database.
[5]Aniruddha Dekate, Pradip Ramchaware,’’ Fault acknowledgement system for UPS using GSM’’published in
2015.
In this paper they have reviewed about the low cost solution for fault finding and its temporary solution to
customers via GSM.It involves the GSM controller atmega8 it is used for low power CMOS 8 bit
microcontroller.
III. OBJECTIVE
The main purpose of this system is to implement an electronic system including IOT and GSM technology to
monitor the UPS battery by sending SMS to mobile phones in case of power failure or battery replacement. To
develop a system which has Instantaneous switching in the case of power failure.
To implement an Automatic Alerts on SMS and Telegram and also Controlling of UPS remotely through IOT.To
design and develop a Local alerts through LED, Buzzer and I2C LCD Display.

IV. METHODOLOGY

The protection System mainly consists of following blocks. Power Supply, ZMPT101B AC Voltage Sensor
ACS712 Current sensor, VCC25 DC Voltage sensor, EPS32 Microcontroller, 16x2 I2 LCD, Single Channel
Relay, LED+Buzzer, Cloud server, SMS and Telegram Block. This is diagrammatically shown in figure 1.1
This system includes an important component which is EPS 32 Microcontroller it main purpose is to monitor as
well as control the UPS battery. It works on the EPS 32 microcontroller connected to the 16X2 IC LCD and will
continuously monitor the parameters which are displayed in it. Then parameters will be monitored by the DC
voltage of the UPS battery this will be done using the VCC 25 DC voltage sensor. It will continuously monitor
the current and voltage from the AC mains. It will be also sensed by ACS712 current answer which will be
connected to the System and AC Output Voltage measured using ZMPT101B Voltage Sensor. A Buzzer & LED
is connected in order to provide local alerts. For Switching Single channel relay is used from UPS to AC Mains
and UPS works on the voltage/current of every electronic equipment bias with a certain voltage with the rated
current. Then Alerts are given using SMS while controlling and monitoring UPS can also be done using
Telegram.
V. CONCLUSION
This project may explain a GSM -based controlling and monitoring system of a UPS battery model based on a
microcontroller is being implemented due to these performances of the system will increase and live monitoring
and controlling of the ups is possible. We make an electronic device system with the help of GSM it would
monitor ups battery continuously when power is interrupted or the battery percentage falls it will notify us. This
system remotely accesses the ups. And also controlling ups remotely through i, these systems by nature are
designed to be reliable.

OBJECTIVE The main purpose of this system is to implement an electronic system including IOT and GSM technology to monitor the UPS battery by sending SMS to mobile phones in case of power failure or battery replacement. To develop a system which has Instantaneous switching in the case of power failure. To implement an Automatic Alerts on SMS and Telegram and also Controlling of UPS remotely through IOT.To design and develop a Local alerts through LED, Buzzer and I2C LCD Display.   • 3. IV. METHODOLOGY Fig.1 Block Diagram of GSM based controlling and monitoring system of UPS battery The protection System mainly consists of following blocks. Power Supply, ZMPT101B AC Voltage Sensor ACS712 Current sensor, VCC25 DC Voltage sensor, EPS32 Microcontroller, 16x2 I2 LCD, Single Channel Relay, LED+Buzzer, Cloud server, SMS and Telegram Block. This is diagrammatically shown in figure 1.1 This system includes an important component which is EPS 32 Microcontroller it main purpose is to monitor as well as control the UPS battery. It works on the EPS 32 microcontroller connected to the 16X2 IC LCD and will continuously monitor the parameters which are displayed in it. Then parameters will be monitored by the DC voltage of the UPS battery this will be done using the VCC 25 DC voltage sensor. It will continuously monitor the current and voltage from the AC mains. It will be also sensed by ACS712 current answer which will be connected to the System and AC Output Voltage measured using ZMPT101B Voltage Sensor. A Buzzer & LED is connected in order to provide local alerts. For Switching Single channel relay is used from UPS to AC Mains and UPS works on the voltage/current of every electronic equipment bias with a certain voltage with the rated current. Then Alerts are given using SMS while controlling and monitoring UPS can also be done using Telegram. V. CONCLUSION This project may explain a GSM -based controlling and monitoring system of a UPS battery model based on a microcontroller is being implemented due to these performances of the system will increase and live monitoring and controlling of the ups is possible. We make an electronic device system with the help of GSM it would monitor ups battery continuously when power is interrupted or the battery percentage falls it will notify us. This system remotely accesses the ups. And also controlling ups remotely through i, these systems by nature are designed to be reliable.
