- 2. How to take a “burst” of pictures… The burst option will take a series of three photos. It is ideal for action photos. Steps: Press the timer/burst button two times. Press the shutter button halfway (shutter button was previously introduced). Focus. Press the shutter button completely and hold it to take the photos.
- 4. How to take a panoramic photo… The panoramic mode will combine three photos into one; creating a panoramic scene. Steps: 1. Choose the panoramic option from the mode dial. 2. Choose which direction you will be taking the picture (left to right or right to left), and press the arrow accordingly. 3. Take the first picture, then overlay the picture over the liveview. 4. Continue this two more times, and then the camera will stitch the scenes together for you.
- 6. How to take a photo using the self timer… The self timer option will allow you to take a photo and include yourself in it! Steps: Set the camera on a flat object. Focus and set the scene. Decide where you will be in the photo. Press the timer/burst button once. Press the shutter button and quickly take your position in the photo. The camera will take the picture in ten seconds.

- 8. How to take a photo from a distance… When you want to take a photo from a distance, follow these steps. Steps: Turn the mode dial to SCN. Press the arrow until you get to “landscape.” Use the zoom button if needed. 4. Focus and press the shutter button when you are ready.

- 10. How to take a picture using the correct light… Sometimes our pictures come out too dark or too light, so we need to adjust the camera for each situation. Our class camera has many options available, including “Smart Capture” which is used for general picture taking. These options are found by turning the mode dial. Sport mode is for action pictures. SCN contains many choices: portrait, sunset, candle light, backlight, stage, self portrait, manner/museum, flower, fireworks, text, beach, snow, night landscape, night portrait, landscape, and children.
