GUIDE TO SECTION B/ CONTINUOUS WRITING PAPER 2 FORMAT 1: WRITE STORY THAT HAVE ENDINGS PART 1 ( BEGIN YOUR STORY WITH A SUSPENSEFUL SITUATION ) It had been raining all night but I still could not fall asleep. Maybe it was because of the coffee that I had drank earlier to keep me awake as I was studying to prepare myself for the year end examination that is just around the corner. This time, I want to get better result than my Mid Year Exam. That is why I tried very hard to achieve it. My parents also had promised me to take me for a trip to Korea if I get excellent result. But that was not the real objective. My real objective is to repay my parents’ sacrifice that they had gave upon me all these years raising me up. I looked at the clock on the wall. It was already 11.00pm. My parents who were out to a wedding ceremony since 3.00pm were not returned yet. I was not alone at home because my sister was also at home. She had just returned from her college during maghrib time. But maybe she was asleep because she closed her bedroom door when I walked by a few minutes ago. I tried to call my parents to ask them where they were but they did not answer their phones. I tried several times. I was getting worried. I wanted to call my sister but I was quite lazy to get out of my room so I just called her. But, her phone was out of coverage. STRANGE…… So, I walked out of my room to go to my sister’s room. As I just wanted to go to my door to get out…..I heard my sister called my name….from downstairs. Maybe she was in the kitchen. “ Anna…………………..Anna……………………..” I responded by saying Yes. I quickly got out of my room to go downstairs. But, as I was approaching the stairs which was near my sister’s room. Two hands grabbed me from behind and pulled me into the room. I tried to scream but the hand closed my mouth. It was my sister. She asked me to be silent. I asked her why she acted this way. Didn’t she just called me. She said NO. She heard the calling too. Suddenly…. “ Kringggggggggg………………………………………….” That was the sound of the alarm clock that had woken me up from my sleep. The story above is part of the scary dream that I had just experienced. - 2. PART 2 ( WRITE ABOUT PERSONAL DETAILS ) Before I go further with my essay. Let me introduce myself. Muhammad Arif. This is my name. It is a beautiful name. It has very interesting meaning. I was borned in Kuantan on 23 April 1998. Now, I am staying with my parents in Kuala Lipis. I have 6 siblings and I am the forth child in the family. My father is a clerk and my mother is a food hawker at a stall. Although we are not rich but we are happy. Now, I am 16 years old and I study at SMK Chini Timur. I study at the class 4 Alpha. My class has 21 students and the class teacher is Pn. Zita. Pn Zita is a very nice teacher but strict. All my classmates respect her. At school, I joined several activities. I joined Uniform Unit, clubs and sports. Firstly. Uniform unit. I joined Police Cadet. For this unit, I was selected as the March Commandant. Among the activity was the Rifle Shooting Training at Temerloh. Secondly, I joined English Language Society. I was elected as the secretary. Among the acti vity we had conducted was a trip to British Council in Kuala Lumpur. Thirdly, I also involved in sports. I represented my school and District of Pekan for Softball game. As a softball player, I went to a tournament MSSP in Bera last March. This year I am in Form Four. Next year, I will be sitting for the most important examination in my school life. SPM. I will try very hard to get excellent result. After SPM, I plan to further my study at a university and take Medical Course. My ambition is to become a doctor. PART 3. ( WRITE A STORY PLOT ) Enough about me. Let me return to the story that I wanted to tell. Recently, I watched a movie. The story was very interesting. It has good moral values that should be shared with others. The story was like this. Michael Newman is a loving father and husband, but he's got an office and a career he sees more often than his own family. To only make matters worse is a boss who takes everything for granted, including advantage of Michael by dangling a promotion in front of his face. But when one late night trip to a Bed, Bath and Beyond store for a new remote control, Michael finds himself in the possession of a new kind of remote control, developed by an eccentric inventor. A remote control so significant that it allows Michael to be able to fast forward, rewind, pause and practically control all the events in his life. So much to an extent that it becomes a luxury for the overworked man who finally gets some quality time with his family and his life. But not everything lasts forever as Michael is about to find out, when the remote control begins to malfunction, causing Michael to deal with the consequences. PART 4 ( ENDING OF THE STORY ) As a conclusion, the moral of the story is we must always appreciate with what we have. When I looked back into my life. ( USE THE ENDING GIVEN IN THE INSTRUCTION)
