Hand on Activity
▪ Actively encouraging and involving to do something in order to learn about it.
▪ it is 'learning by doing’.
▪ Experiential Learning.
▪ Experiential learning also known as (EXL) is the process of learning through experience.
▪ “Experiential learning is the application of theory and academic content to real-world experiences,
either within the classroom, within the community, or within the workplace.
▪ Art Integration.
▪ Art integration uses various traditional, cultural and contemporary art and craft forms for experience-
based learning of various concepts in different subjects.
▪ teaching and learning process more joyful, implement learning outcomes and "enable all stakeholders
to follow Competency Based Education (CBE)".

Creative imagination, with sound ethical moorings and values. It aims at producing
engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural
society as envisaged by our Constitution.
National Education Policy 2020_ Class Structures
1. FOUNDATIONAL YEARS (5YRS)- KG TO II
▪ Early childhood care and education (ECCE) into the Indian education system with a recommended
▪ informal,
▪ flexible,
▪ multilevel,
▪ play/activity-based instructional approach
▪ that focusses on domain-based learning outcomes,
PREPARATORY YEARS (3YRS)- AGES 9-11 WILL COVER CLASSES III, IV & V.
▪ Discovery approach of learning
which basically involves
▪ ‘learning by doing’
▪ Through exploration of environment and manipulation of objects
and materials to learn by problem solving.
MIDDLE YEARS (3YRS)- AGES 12-14 WILL COVER CLASSES VI TO VIII.
▪ NEP recommends a hands-on
▪ Experiential learning approach
▪ for conceptual understanding, also encouraging learners to explore topics across
disciplines for holistic understanding (inter-disciplinary approach).
SECONDARY STAGE (4YRS)- AGES 15-18 WILL COVER
CLASSES IX TO XII IN TWO PHASES,
▪ The NEP describes this stage as
▪ four years of multidisciplinary study,
