–GOAL: Make us compliant with AllAdobe Acrobat products.

Lab 1: View Effective Demand
Open CA-SAM.
–Start your preferred browser. CA SAM should start.
Otherwise, use http://localhost:90/demo.
–Login using User: Admin, Password: coeducation.
Open Effective Demand.
–From Top menu select: Software -> Effective Demand.
–Find the 3 rows for : Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard ger.
Look at details.
–Click on the Details link on one of the rows and select Installations.
–See the individual Devices Adobe Acrobat 8 Std. German is found at

Run compliance.
–From Top menu select: Compliance -> Current
–Select :
Manufacturer : Adobe
Organization Unit: Group
Start Analyze
View.
–Find Adobe Acrobat 8 Std. Ger.
–See how the data is aggregated.
–Notice that there is no License for the product.
–Click on the “effective demand” (100) to see where. (Noticing it is effect demand view from Lab1.
Identify Compliance Status for Acrobat 8 Std. Ger.

Register the license.
–From the top menu: Licenses -> License Box -> Manual Input
–Type in the Article : 65196797AA04A00
–Verify it is resolved:
Adobe Acrobat XI Standard Win 100 Pack ger.License CLP
–Type in Quantity: 2 (Remembering this is a 100 Pack)
–Cost Center : EE-EE10-EE10/100
(Personal /HR)
–Press: Add License.
Register a 100 Pack for Adobe Acrobat

View license.
–From to tom Menu: License -> Effective license -> single
–Press the Filter :
–Type the product filter: “acrobat xi”
–See the license registered and the quantity is 200 even though we only bought 2.

Run compliance.
–From Top menu select: Compliance -> Current.
–If you get the list right away. Please “refresh view”.
Note :
–Adobe Acrobat 8 Std. Germ. is now compliant.

Register Upgrade license.

–Ensure it resolves to:

–Quantity: 10
–Cost Center : EE-EE10-EE10/100
Verify it is registered.
Re-run Compliance.
–Why does it not show as Compliant??
Register a Upgrade license for Adobe Acrobat X Standard Engl.

Link Upgrade license.
–From Top menu: License -> Update/Maintenance -> Single
–Find the license from before:
–Adobe Acrobat X Standard Win Upgrade engl.License CLP
Click the and select update.
Select the Base license (maybe you need 2 licenses)
–Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard Win engl.License CLP.
Press Carry out Update
Note how it only takes 10 copies.
Re-run Compliance.
–Note that :
Acrobat X Std. Engis now compliant
Acrobat 8 Std. Engwent from 195 to 185 unused licenses. Why ?
We have A LOT of unused licenses
Link Upgrade License to Base license.

Lab 6: Extra–Upgrade license for:
Find the last Adobe Acrobat product that is missing a license.
Check to see if we have Licenses that can be used for a Upgrade.
Register the License.
Ensure all is defined correct–Upgrade etc.
Re-runCompliance.
–Note that :
All Adobe Acrobat products are now compliant–Or are they?
Still A LOT of unused licenses.
Fix the last Adobe Acrobat products.
