HARDWARE Hardware are metal products used in construction, such us bolts, hinges, locks, tools, etc. TWO CLASSIFICATIONS OF HARDWARE: • Finishing hardware – Hardware, such us hinges locks, catches, etc. that has a finished appearance as well as function, esp. that used with doors, windows, and cabinets, maybe considered part of the decorative treatment of a room or building. • Rough hardware – in building construction, hardware meant to be concealed, such as bolts, nails, screws, spikes, rods, and other metal fittings
- 4. BOLTS AND NUTS Bolts have threaded shafts that receive nuts.To use them, a hole is drilled, pushing the bolt through and adding a nut. Bolts tightened with screw while holding the nut with a wrench.
