The document presents a hop count based interest selection and content forwarding (HISCF) scheme for vehicular named data networks (VNDN) to improve content dissemination despite challenges like high mobility and network congestion. The HISCF approach mitigates interest flooding and data packet duplication by utilizing metrics such as hop count and interest satisfaction ratio, leading to improved network performance compared to traditional methods. Extensive simulations demonstrate that HISCF effectively reduces data packet replication, minimizes forwarded interest packets, and decreases response time.
