- 2. YouTube We first used YouTube to look at different horror trailers to get an idea of what sort of shots were used in most horror trailers. Also what sort of music was used whether they had a lot of digetic or non digetic sounds within trailers the reasons behind this was because we wanted our trailer to look as realistic as possible so we didn’t want to ignore what real trailers do and not follow the conventions as this would not have been a horror trailer that way. Microsoft Office During our Planning we mainly I also used Microsoft did our work on Microsoft word PowerPoint whilst doing my the reason behind this is because evaluation I found that doing its a very basic programme to use two questions via a PowerPoint and one that everyone knows how showed that I could use more to use. Such as our scripting and 3 technologies that just doing initial film ideas. four questions filming me. Again PowerPoint was another programme I knew well as well that's why I chose to use this programme as well.
- 4. Final Cut Express I used final cut express to edit my Trailer and evaluation. This was a new programme to me and it took me a while to get use to how to use alot of tools. One thing that made the editing hard was that this can only be used on a Mac computer so I could not just get it for my computer at home this meant I had to plan ahead when I could come and use the macs in college. Once I got use to using the programme it was very good for editing. We also made our tone cards on the final cut express programme to put in to our final trailer.
- 5. Camera During the coursework we used two types of cameras they were a digital camera and a video camera. While we used a video camera to We used a digital camera to get all film the actual trailer itself also I the still shots for our magazine used a video camera to film two covers and film posters. While of the evaluation questions. using these cameras we had to get a While recording the trailer we number of still shots which we then had to use a wide variety of chose the best two to have as our camera angles to make the trailer magazine cover and film poster. as realistic as possible
- 6. Photoshop During the project we had to use Photoshop during the process off creating our magazine front covers and the film posters. The reason why we decided to use Photoshop was because of our knowledge of using this programme during our AS coursework when we made out music magazines. This gave us an insight in to how we could made good magazines because we had the experience of making similar projects just a year before so it would have been fresh in our mind.
- 7. Blogger The whole of our project was put on to a blogger this made it clearer to read in different blogs rather than on scraps of paper in a folder. During the use of blogger we had to use various different programmes to help support our blog as well these were Slide share and Paint. We also used slide share these were mainly for any PowerPoint's We used paint when we had to we did because the documents copy some of our documents like were to big to copy on to the our storyboards to Jpeg. These blogger as separate PowerPoint. meant we could then save them on to our blogger which was easier to read.
