• The scene begins with a
  close up shot of the
  hospital sign, the sign says
  ‘A criminally disordered
  retention facility’. The sign
  along with a crane shot
  used to show the fencing
  and barbed wire connotes
  to the audience that those
  who are detained here are
  very dangerous.
• Using my example you will now analyse the
rest of the sequence. The sequence will play
on a loop, so you can watch it as many times
as needed (if you want me to pause I can, and
don’t be scared to ask questions)
• Stick the pictures in your book and write your
analysis next to the relevant ones as we have
  done with the example
• You don’t have every shot just significant ones, so
you have to think about what you see and hear
before and after the shots that are pictured
• Underline key words and terminology, remember
you need to write about how the MEDIA
  LANGUAGE works to REPRESENT Sarah
• Camerawork
• Sound
• Editing (only a little bit)
• Mise-en-scene
