- 1. HEADROOM Headroom is the space above the subjects. Headroom in a shot will vary depending on the intent of the video. If you’re standing right in front of someone, you’ll see that they will have space all around them and not cut of by the frame. Leaving headroom or space beside them you are imitating what you see in real-life. Michael Goodlow
- 2. Basic audio Always test your equipment before you leave class. Check the sound before you start(do a brief test and then play it back). Always get a pair of earphones, so you are able to listen to the sound your getting. Simone Bond
- 3. What Not To Do No horseplay when shooting Make sure your getting tasks done Follow the schedule Be sure to cooperate Be a team player and listen Sam Ross
- 4. Talking/ walking room You don’t want them looking at the camera. you want to leave room at the side of their face as if you were going to draw a dialogue box in for them . if the person in motion gives them space to walk to.
- 5. What Not To Do While Shooting Do not shake the camera while shooting. Do not make noises in the background while you are shooting because the noise will end up in the movie. Don’t rough house with the camera, it could easily break. Randy Tebeau
- 6. Editing Techniques It's a good idea to take notes. When you edit, your notes will tell you which scenes are good. Tell the story in order. Leave some room around each scene. Don’t fade until end of filming . Then go in later and fade while editing. Thomas Wiggins
