- 2. INTRODUCTION ❖ Tips are a gesture of gratitude and customer satisfaction. In several businesses, customers often give tips to the people who served them. ❖ Sometimes the Tips will be great in value and we need to manage it properly. ❖ How to handle this tip in Odoo. We can manage the tips given by customers effectively in Odoo POS. In Odoo the tips are managed as a separate consumable type product. ❖ Here in this slide, I will be explaining how to handle the tips in Odoo point of sale.
- 3. ❖ Odoo by default creates a Product Tips, which will be used to add tips.
- 4. ❖ Go to PoS click on the 3 dots in the PoS instance, and click on settings we will need to activate tips from there.
- 5. ❖ Under payments you will find an option Tips Enable it and you will the product Tips is added automatically. Now save it.
- 6. ❖ Now go to PoS purchase the product and proceed to payment.
- 7. ❖ Here you will see a button to Tip Click on to it, you will be able to enter a tip amount, or if there is a change in the amount and if we click on the Tip the change amount will be added as Tip.
- 8. ❖ As said in the previous slide if there is a change in the amount and if we click on the Tip the change amount will be added as Tip.
- 9. ❖ You can see the amount is also added in the PoS receipt.
- 10. ❖ This amount will be added in the Sale Order also, to see that go to Orders of the PoS instance.
- 11. ❖ Select the Order number you can see an order line has been added as tip.
- 12. ❖ It will also be added in the Invoice.
