How to invite bloggers to events Send a personalised email Not the same mass anonymous email to media Bloggers will most likely respond to personalised email Send out invites early Most bloggers have day job and might need to take leave to attend event  Evening events are recommended Let bloggers bring a friend
How to engage bloggers at events Bloggers and media don’t usually mix Bloggers will gather in one group, media another Take photos or videos of bloggers at event Focus on what blogger is doing at event Share it on Flickr or Facebook ASAP so bloggers can use it on their blogs Take group photos with bloggers and spokesperson after event Spokesperson take initiative to ask bloggers question Bloggers not media. Questions should come from spokesperson. Don’t oversell products and be seen as a salesperson, not as spokesperson PR should consider after event drinks to gather feedback from bloggers
