This amazing application is called
Grammarly!

Let’s begin!

On your desktop,
open your favorite web browser like
Google Chrome

Google Chrome home page is shown

On the address bar, enter
https://www.grammarly.com

Then press ENTER key on your
keyboard

Grammarly home page is shown

Click Add to Chrome it’s free

You are redirected to this page

Click Add extension

Grammarly is being added

It is now included in Chrome

We can now register
for our Grammarly
account!

Signing up has 2 options, either
through your Facebook account

Or through email
D

Let’s register using email

Enter your Name

Enter your Email

Enter your Password

Select What best describes you

After filling the form, click Sign Up

You’re asked what type of account
you want to use

As starters, let’s use the Free option

You’re redirected to Grammarly
dashboard

To skip the quick tour, click
Skip the tour

Or click Let’s go! to view the tour

Quickly read then click Next

Quickly read then click Finish the
tour

You can now start using Grammarly
from your browser

Now let’s install Grammarly to
windows

Installing the application
to windows

allows you to easily access it from
your desktop

without the hassle of opening your
Google Chrome browser

To do that, click Install now
,

Once GrammarlySetup.exe finished
downloading, click on it

If security asked you about running
the file, just click Run

Wait while Grammarly is being
installed to windows

After successfully installing the
application

Click here to minimize all windows
currently opened on your computer

Grammarly shortcut is now added to
your desktop

And it is just a click away!
Isn’t that cool?

It’s now time to try
the application in
action!

From your desktop,
open Grammarly application

Grammarly window appears

Let’s log in using the credentials we
used during registration

Enter your Email

Enter your Password

Then click Log in to Grammarly

After successful login, you are
redirected to the dashboard

To start, click New

This is where you can have your
work checked

There are three simple ways
to do that

1. Real-time typing

First, type your title here

Second, type your content here

As you type, Grammarly is
simultaneously checking it too

2. Copy and Paste

Open the content and highlight it,
then press CTRL+C

Type the title of your work

Then paste the content on this area
by pressing CTRL+V

After pasting, Grammarly starts
checking the content for issues

Lastly…

3. Importing File

Click Import

Search for the file on your computer

Then click Open

After successful import, Grammarly
starts checking the content for issues

Either method among the 3 we
learned works

Just choose the one that best fits
the situation

Let’s now analyze the
results!

After checking, Grammarly displays
all issues on the right side

It shows the total Critical Issues

It shows the total Advanced Issues

But you can only see them if you
upgrade to Premium

It shows the total number of words,
click it

It shows the total number of
characters, click it

It shows the reading time,
click it

And last of all, it shows the
speaking time

Let’s check one of the issues

Click Expand card

Grammarly says it does not
recognize the word

Since I know that it is the correct
word, I can simply ignore it

Or even add the word to the
dictionary

If the short explanation is not
sufficient, you can click more

And read the detailed explanation

That is free english lessons!
See how generous Grammarly is?

Let’s say you agreed with the
correction, just click it to apply

Once you accept a correction, you
can still undo it

Notice that as we apply corrections,
number of critical issues decreases

After addressing all the issues…

The right side is cleared and no more
critical issues found

Let’s now export the updated
content, click Export

Locate where to save the file and
click Save

To go back to the dashboard, click
My Grammarly

Notice that the documents we
checked earlier are now displayed

In the dashboard, you can also
search for the documents

Export a document instantly

And even delete a document

To log out of Grammarly, just click
Log out

And we are done!
