- 3. Pollution • Pollution is unwanted, harmful stuff contaminating an environment. • The race to develop clean energy is motivated by high levels of pollution that people fear are permanently damaging the earth’s environment.

- 5. LAND POLLUTION • LAND pollution means the pollution of the Earth by solid and liquid waste which is produced as a result of human activities. • Causes • Chemical waste produced by factories ,human sewage dumping into the ground • When waste is not properly disposed of it causes land pollution
- 6. Effects: • Land pollution not only damages the soil, it also has very harmful effects on the entire’ “Eco system”. • When Toxic chemicals are dumped onto the ground, they get absorbed into the soil which is harmful for plants.
- 7. Air pollution • When reading about air; you learned that air is a mixture of gases. Any human activity that causes disturbance in this composition of gases can create air pollution • Causes : • Main cause of air pollution are smoke from traffic and the burning of fossil fuel ,such as coal ,gas ,and oil .
- 8. • Smoke from factories and industries makes the air impure • Effects: • Air pollution damages the Ozone Layer which protects the Earth from the harmful rays of the Sun • Air pollution is harmful for human health, breathing in polluted air can cause many breathing disorders like asthma and Bronchitis.

Water pollution • Water pollution is very important for all the life forms on earth 70% of the surface is covered by water . • Clean and pure water is need of every human being . • Most of the water in the rivers, lakes and seas is now polluted due to human activities • CAUSES • Some of the biggest source of water pollution are untreated human sewage ,fertilizer and industrial waste. • They mix with water of oceans, rivers and makes the water impure for humans and living things.
- 10. Water pollution • EFFECTS • Polluted water is very harmful for human health and the natural environment. . • It is unhealthy for drinking and for other uses. • Dirty water contain many diseases in human body. • Sea animals are effected by the water pollution.
- 11. Reducing pollution • Do not throw garbage into the river • Plants more trees • Dispose of litter and garbage properly
