How To Use Wordpress
- 2. Click your Google Chrome browser.
- 3. Type wordpress.com in your browser, then press the “enter” key
- 4. Click Get started here
- 6. Leave this page for awhile. An email will be sent to your email address to activate your Wordpress account.
- 7. From the email you received from Wordpress, simply click the Activate Blog tab.
- 8. Click your blog’s link here.
- 10. Click “Settings”
- 11. Set the time zone, date and time format. Choose the day to start your week.
- 12. Choose the language you will use, and then, click “Save Changes” 1 2
- 14. Choose the theme that you want for your blog here.
- 15. Click “Preview” to see a sample layout of any theme that you may be interested.
- 16. Click “Activate” when you have your final choice.
- 17. To create acategory, click “Posts” from your dashboard column, then click “Categories” 1 2
- 18. Fill in the name & description of your category, then, click “Add New Category” 1 2 3
- 19. To create a Sub-category, click “Categories”
- 20. Fill in the name & description of your Sub-category
- 21. Click the drop down menu tab under “Parent” and click the category name under which you intend to put your sub-category. Then, click “Add New Category”
- 22. Now you have a Sub-category
- 23. To compose a blog, click “Dashboard”
- 24. Click “Posts” and then, click “Add New” 1 2
- 25. Type in your Post Title and Content here. 1 2
- 26. Click the tick box of the category under which your blog should be classified.
- 27. If you wish to preview your blog before you publish it, just click “Preview.”
- 28. Click “Publish” when you’re ready to publish your blog.
- 29. You have just published your first Wordpress blog!
